Project Administration Officer (EDB/ITM/169/25)

(a) To administer the maintenance, support and enhancement of various Education Bureau Information Technology (IT) systems;
(b) To liaise with system developers, other Divisions/Sections, schools and relevant parties on IT system development issues;
(c) To answer enquiries raised by users of IT systems and follow up the enquiries with technical teams;
(d) To monitor the quality and delivery schedule of new projects, enhancement items and programme bug fixing;
(e) To conduct preliminary User Acceptance Test (UAT), providing UAT support and preparing test cases;
(f) To review system design and workflow proposed by technical teams; and
(g) To perform any other duties as required.

$35,080 per month

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree, or equivalent [see Note (i)];
(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note (ii)];
(c) A good command of both Chinese and English;
(d) At least 1 year of post-degree full-time working experience in supporting information systems, experience in government or public sector organisations preferred [see Note (iii)];
(e) Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; and
(f) Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

(i) For general awareness, a locally-accredited Hong Kong bachelor's degree is at Level 5 under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF). While there are other qualifications under HKQF Level 5, for the purpose of this recruitment exercise, only bachelor's degree is acceptable. (ii) For appointment purpose, 'Grade C' and 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(iii) Candidates should state the nature and relevancy of the post-qualification experience. Priority will be given to candidates who possess relevant work experience in administrating the maintenance, support and enhancement of IT systems in government or public sector organisations. Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting departments may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend selection interview.

Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
