Duties

Mainly responsible for handling booking matters, processing payments, answering enquiries and performing general administrative, personnel and clerical duties.
[Note:
(1) Appointed candidates will be deployed to perform shift duties in leisure venues including public swimming pools, sports centres and sports grounds, etc. in any district of Hong Kong (including outlying islands).
(2) Successful candidates will be required to work 44 hours (including meal breaks) per week. They are also required to work shifts during the period from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm or to work overtime according to supervisors’ arrangements. They are also required to work shifts on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.]

Salary

HK$ 17,130 per month

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have:
(1) completed secondary 5, or equivalent;
(2) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
(3) good knowledge on the use of general computer software (including Microsoft Word and Excel) and Chinese and English typing skills.
[Note:
For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]

Entry Requirements (Note)

Applications are invited for the position of Temporary Clerk (Venue) for performing shift duties in leisure venues of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms normally for a period of 6 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs of the Department, and the performance and conduct of the candidate.

General Notes

(A) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(E) Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend selection tests/interviews.
(F) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection tests/ interviews without being subject to any further shortlisting. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. (G) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.

How to apply

(1) Applicants must apply online through the G.F. 340 Online Application System of the Civil Service Bureau (https://www.csb.gov.hk) not later than 27 November 2025.
(2) Applications which are incomplete or submitted in person, by post, by fax or by e-mail will not be accepted.
(3) For qualifications awarded by local institutions/ Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, copies of the official transcripts and certificates are not required to be submitted at this stage of application. As for qualifications obtained from institutions outside Hong Kong, copies of the official transcripts and certificates should be submitted by email to lsaet4@lcsd.gov.hk on or before 4 December 2025. The online application number should be quoted in the subject of the email and on every page of the copies of the relevant documents.
(4) Candidates who are invited for selection interview will be required to produce the original copies of the official transcripts and certificates for verification and photocopies for record purposes. The applications will not be considered if any candidates fail to produce the original copies of the required documents for verification. All qualifications/ working experience of the candidates should be obtained on or before the closing date for application. Qualifications/ working experience obtained after the closing date for application will not be considered.
(5) Candidates who are invited for selection interview will normally receive an invitation in about 6-8 weeks from the closing date for application (by email or by post). Those who are not invited for selection interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
